Matt Isaac would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base on Wednesday, driving in four on three hits to lead Broadneck past Old Mill 11-2 on Wednesday. Isaac drove in runs on a single in the first, a home run in the fourth, and a double in the sixth.
Broadneck notched five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by was led by Ryan Smolen and Isaac, both knocking in runs in the inning.
Dillon Smith earned the victory on the mound for the Bruins. He allowed two hits and two runs over four and a third innings, striking out three. Reilly Joyce threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Summers took the loss for Old Mill. He went three innings, allowing six runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking one.
The Bruins totaled 14 hits in the game. Ben Schultz was 3-3 on the day with a triple and two singles. Ben Schultz, Isaac, Smolen, and Nicholas Gatton all managed multiple hits for the Bruins.
The Bruins return to action Friday when they host Glen Burine at 4 pm.
