Broadneck Bruins defeated Annapolis 8-0 on Monday as four pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Ryan Valente induced a fly out from Christian Smith to finish off the game.
Broadneck opened up scoring in the second inning. The Bruins scored one run when Dylan Tenney doubled.
Reilly Joyce was the winning pitcher for Broadneck. He surrendered zero runs on five hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Ryan Stolarczyk, Valente, and Mikey Ryan all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Rowan Standish took the loss for Annapolis. He went one and one-third innings, allowing four runs on four hits.
Broadneck totaled nine hits. Ben Schultz and Bradley Zoellner all had multiple hits for the Bruins. Schultz went 3-for-4 at the plate.
The Bruins return to action Wednesday when they travel to Southern High School, 4 pm first pitch.
