Broadneck cruised to an easy victory over Glen Burnie 11-1 on Friday.
Broadneck got things started in the first inning when Smolen led off with a double and then advanced on a fielders choice by Dylan Tenney. Eventually Smolen would score on a balk.
The Bruins notched five runs in the third inning. Contributing to the big inning included Ben Schultz, Jackson Halla, Nick Toskov, Ryan Smolen, and Dylan Tenney, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Ryan Stolarczyk earned the win for Broadneck. He went five innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out two and walking one.
Mcdonald started the game for Glen Burnie. He lasted two innings, allowing four hits and seven runs. Alan Fangman and Jordan Kreider entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and one-third innings and one inning respectively.
The Bruins totaled nine hits. Smolen and Toskov both managed multiple hit games.
The Bruins return to action Monday when they travel to Northeast High School for a 4 pm start.
