Bruins News · Bruin Dance-a-Thon Information/Call for Volunteers

Broadneck is participating in the 2nd annual Bruin Dance-A-Thon on March 15, 2019 from 4-10pm in the Main Gym. The Bruin Dance-A-Thon is a Miracle Network Dance Marathon Partner directly sponsoring Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. 100% of our donations will go back to the kids to fill the gap that insurance does not cover for items such as books, art supplies, diapers, iPads, meals for parents and more. Last year we raised over $13,000 and this year our goal is $15,000 and we are currently at 34% of our goal!

Students have been raising money for the last few months and the Dance-A-Thon on March 15th is the celebration of our fundraising efforts. Our final reveal of our fundraising amount will occur at the end of the evening.

How can you help?

  • Please encourage your students to take part in this special event. They do not have to dance or even like dancing! The purpose of this evening is stand on your feet for the 6 hours for the children who can’t and to celebrate our fundraising efforts. Some of the activities during the Dance-A-Thon are: corn hole, ping pong, minute to win it games, a lip sync battle, free food and hungry hungry hippo. When students raise a minimum of $50 they can attend the event and participate in all of the free activities. To donate or register a student click the Donor Drive Link .
  • We are also looking for food donations and volunteers for the event, if you are interested please use the Sign up Genius link. All volunteers need to have a current background check on file with AACPS. The instructions are on the signup genius.
  • We are looking for sponsors! Do you have a business that would like to donate an item or gift card to our prizes for the students? Do you want to donate to the cause in the name of your business? Contact Melissa Quigley if you interested! Thank you to the PTSO for being one of our sponsors this year!
