Bruins News · Softball recognizes 5 former Bruins (Updated with Pictures)


The softball program has decided to honor five former Bruins by retiring their jerseys and placing recognition banners in the outfield.

The ceremony presenting the retired jerseys and banners will take place on May 4th prior to the start of the softball game that afternoon.

Kourtney Salvarola-

–          4 Time All-Met, Washington Post and Baltimore Sun (2007-2010)

–          Maryland Gatorade Softball Player of the Year (2010)

–          Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year (2010)

–          Baltimore Sun All-Met Player of the Year (2009)

–          Capital Gazette Athlete of the Year (2008)

–          Capital Gazette Player of the Year (2009-2010)

–          4 Time All County (2007-2010)

–          Former State Record Holder and Current Broadneck Record Holder for Single Season HRs (12), Career HRs (32), Career Total Hits (140), Career Runs Scored (137), among others

Ashley Thomas-

–          Former State Record Holder, Broadneck Record Holder for Most Triples in a Season (8)

Adrienne Gebele-
